Another name that is given to the crystal is Angel Phantom Quartz, which is a reference to the “phantoms” that appear in the crystal due to the amalgamation of various kinds of minerals. These crystals evoke the feeling of flying, soaring high above the clouds on cotton wool, which is loosely how it translates in Brazil, the only country it has been found to date, making it a very rare crystal indeed.

The minerals in the Amphibole group may also occur as stones in their own right. This includes Actinolite, Riebeckite, Limonite, Tremolite, Hematite, Caolinite, Winchite, Hornblende and Richterite.

The stones which have Limonite inclusions, may occur in shades of yellow, brown or gold, and these bring a vibration that aids physical energy, vitality, well-being and psychic protection.
